benjamin lorenzo,
My turn signals are sealed units about the size of a 50 cent piece. (No way to open them) If there's a load equalizer in the lighting circuit it's either pre installed in the lights or in the wiring harness under the oil tank. The only parts of the wiring harness I haven't inspected.

Load resistors are easy to install. They have 2 wires. Connect one wire to ground and the other wire gets spliced into the positive wire going to the blinker. Start with two load resistors one for left and the other for right. Connect to front or rear doesn't matter. If this does not get them flashing than install load resistor on each blinker. They are cheap. I have a 98 sportster and my load resistors are from kuryakyn.

This 17 year old modern-day wiring is all new to me. I haven't found the correct manual for a 2004 Sportster yet. I purchased a Clymer manual on Amazon that said it was for a 04-07 but it wasn't for Sportsters at all.
This bike has more wiring footage under the tank than my previous 68 XLH Sportster had on the whole bike.
Anyway, what's the Load Equalizer look like? What's a TSM look like?

The Turn Signal Module for a 2004 Sportster is H-D part number 68920-01A, see the image below to see what it looks like.

There are lots of different aftermarket styles of load equalizer, some are single ones for each of the four turn signal units, this type need to be spliced into the wiring harness. Other types are a single unit that controls all four turn signals, these are a lot more expensive but they are plug and paly.
