Glad to hear you walked away. Sorry about the bike. Too bad you did not a proper tow, but if it is totaled that might be bright side.

You're gonna be sore tomorrow....If it hasnt already started to kick in.
We rolled/winched the bike up onto the flatbed....then laid it down. Like Brian said, no more damage could've been done to that side after the fact. I thought about calling HOG, but I remember reading some horror stories of people waiting hours for a tow to show up. The Sherrif that showed up called a wrecker and he said that they have to arrive within 30 minutes of the call, so we werent there long.
One of the witnesses that stopped, was in a flatbed truck and offered to take the bike back to Brians place. But, the cop wouldnt let us load it up until an official report was taken....and by that time, the guy had to bail. The lady cop that showed up was a real Bi**h too.
Brian, again, I'm sorry that happened man. And dont feel like you ruined my day....you didnt. Like I said, that could've just as easily been me.

well that certainly sucks . I have had my fair share of mishaps in 36 years of riding and know just how you feel . im not going to say motorcycles can be fixed it will be ok . because when something as personal as your bike gets trashed it is painful physically and mentaly . I am happy you came through with out more serious bodily injury . best wishes in healing fast and fixing your scoot or getting a new one.

Dallastx, as far as I can tell from what it felt like I must hav hit a rock or a couple of small pieces of gravel. Thinking about it I know now what I did wrong.
As soon at the wheel shook I up the bike upright and then I am pretty sure I looked at the guardrail. I think that is what kept me from correcting quickly enough and I was already on the outside part of the lane. I am pretty sure I could make it through the same situation if it happened again.

NO MATTER WHAT, KEEP YOUR EYES LOOKING WHERE YOU WANT TO GO. Just that split second cost me way too much.......

Thanks for all the well wishes guys n gals.Gonna go pop some Advil and hit the hay.
