My bud just bought a '07 883 Custome. 300 miles later, it failed to start and run. Period. The shop came and got it and after messing with it, they said it needed a new F/I system. Dealership also said that this was somewhat of a common problem with them. UGH!

y is everything a common problem? These manufacturers, especially Harley are suppose to be professional builders, experiance casts alot of money. you pay between 10-20 or more thousand for a piece of machinery and you expect it to work the way its suppose to, I understand there are human error, but A COMMOM PROBLEM????????????????
I DONT THINK SO!!!

Reference fuel pump regulator failure, numerous posts on this subject. Sorry to hear about it, hopefully your dealer can get you the new part and get you back on the road soon.
