Default A belated "honeymoon" bike trip

Well, hubby and I are taking off in a couple hours to take a belated "honeymoon". Got married in December but didn't have time to go anywhere. We live in the western part of Massachusetts. We are heading up and spending 2 days in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and then driving across and landing in Kennebunk, Maine for a couple days, then back down home. So, 5 days on the road.Wish it were longer, but am so excited about getting to do some relaxing driving, along scenic routes ... THAT'S what I love most about riding! And besides a little rain this PM, I THINK we are in for some decent weather!! Plus getting Catfish away from the pressurs of work. He's leaving his cell phone at home!!! (I'll have mine for emergencies).

We were married in Oct. 1981 took a 3 week honeymoon on our Yamaha 1100 from Ontario,Canada to Key West,Florida and travelled the back roads along the Eastern coastline and back up through the middle back roads home what a trip (no cell phones then).Only rained once and that was the first day and all day ( 40 F ) did we get wet and cold.

Kennebunk is a cute little town. I loved it there. I lived in Bar Harbor for 4 years and my sister went to school around Kennebunk so we stopped there once or twice. Its a beautiful area. You should have alot of fun.

Not exactly! Well, we're back! Had a great trip, only 703 miles, though.Got rained on Monday, so didn't do as much riding as planned, as severe thunder and lightning storms were predicted ... and did in fact happen. As for my seat .... just the stock 883 low seat ... and what I hate MOST about it is not that it is uncomfortable really ... I'm getting used to it .. but the fact that when it rains, even if you dry off the seat, as soon as you sit down on it, the water seeps back out the seams .... and major wet butt!!! Now THAT'S uncomfortable ... and embarassing[].

I'm going to do a new post under a different topic ..... 883 vs Nightster ... in part because of my experience this weekend.

Well, is a gal who looks like she peed her pants sexy ??? If so, when it happens again, I'll strut around feeling sexy .. but I kinda doubt that's the case ??
