has anyone used the stock risers with mini apes on an 07 1200c would like feedback on handling and pics please first time post.

thanx Tim from asheville NC
Stock riser with 6-inch "apes." 10-inch would have been too high on the '04-'07 riser for me. This is so much more comfortable to ride with than theoriginal set.

I think I like the look of the straight setup. Do you find that your sitting up straighter Capttawes ? What does that setup cost to complete ?
Yes, you do sit up straighter vs. hunched over stock bars. As for the cost.. bars, risers, speedo mount, new clutch cable, brake line & grips your looking at $250-300. If you buy the parts through the dealer or shop and have them do it especially if you run your wires through the bars you're lookin gat $7-900.00. I do all my own stuff and the job is easy, just time consumming. If you want a list of what I used parts wise and the suppliers, cost, etc.just email me.

I'm thinking about useing the 12" matt black on my roadster. Big book say's there for Nightsers and Lows. Guess I'll find out
.
Bars are bars and they're 1" same as your stockers so they will fit on the stock riser, just be sure to either get the cable kit they suggest or measure up and order the right lengths. You will also likely need to extend your wiring harness for theswitches about 6". My bars are by Khrome Werks and are virtually the same dimensions and they're considered stock repl. for wideglides and street bobs.
Those black bars will look good, except for the wire clip holes that run up the sides (would look better with no holes and wires run internal in my opinion).

Thanks for the info! Do you think I could get them drilled?

Stock risers look really weird with apes. I replaced when I put the 10" apes on.

Capttaws, I like the way your bars look. How comfortable are they for distance riding? May do the same to my bike. Thanks.

Very comfortable since your sitting in a natural upright position with wrists bent. Hard to explain really, just better than stock or drags period as it alleviates lower and mid back or neck pain and more comfortable on the wirsts as well. I have great cornering control since my bars are not super tall.

I'm 6'0", twisty571. Closest thing I have to a side shot is the one taken when I was returning on the Dragon. The photo is in my response to SportyPig on his recent trip. See this link to the thread: https://www.hdforums.com/m_1998760/tm.htm
