Default led blinkers

i got a 2000 1200c sporty that im wanting to put some little led lights inside the mirrors to use as front blinkers. all the lights i see come with a ground wire and a hot. will they blink if i plug them into the original blinker wires or is it a lost cause. also the rear blinkers wont blink, the just stay on, is it cause the front ones arent hooked up and they run on the same circuit. any help or advice would be cool.

ya thats what i thought, but what about putting led lights for the front blinkers instead of the big bulky stock ones, i think it would look cool

I think for a blinker to work, it must be drawing enough current to cause the blinker module to "trip"

If you unhook a bulb, there is not enough current drawing and the lights stay on

You need a load equalizer. Check out biketronics.com

I had the same problem whenI installed mini bullets on my '96. As DaveJ stated above, you will need a load equalizer. I purchased one from my local stealer for approx 35 bucks. It is a badlands product and it is actually called a load equalizer II. I have had very good luck with this product and recommend them highly...

You can buy mirrors with the signals built in, might look better than trying to do it yourself.
