The Roadster shows all of the plastic bits under the tank and with it the cable ties that hold the wiring loom in place. I am not a fan.

Head bolts get oiled before installation. It's not a leak, it's just leftover from the build process. Someone was just sloppy and didn't clean it up.

One cannot believe that the boots are placed on the 883 for looks. They're stationed most likely to hide the leakage from the seals should they seep.
Whoa, WTF? This guy stinks like a Troll.

Get the Softail standard unless you're die hard Sportster fan. That Softail standard is going to have a lot more support going forward and those new frames, the Softail frames I hear handle very well. I don't think you're going to notice a difference in handling between the two bikes A bike is only going to handle as well as you operate it usually it's the rider or not the bike.
Get the soft tail standard for the same money you'll be happier in the long run I'm pretty sure.

Uncertain at this point of the Standard. Excellent motor. Rode the Standard 107 and really like the motor. Do not care for the small tank, bars, and digital readout. The price is o.k., just unsure. I agree the with the support and more accessories. However, rather be quick and light than heavy.

I see your point about the tank and digital... those are negatives for me too and would cost $$$ down the road to upgrade....I keep my toys along time so... that would be ok with me

However I really do like my 2013 Custom with the 4.5 gallon tank, 1200cc engine (w/ Stage one) and the standard fatter tires BTW.
I've had it 5+ yrs now and just now getting around to upgrading the suspension.

Don't worry about that oil, just pick another, mine DOES NOT LEAK anything after 30k plus miles

I very much appreciate the courtesy and direction you've provided. It is like you read my mind in terms of content. Maybe the finest response to me. I'll probably go for the 48', just need to ride it.
