Default 423 mile daytrip

I-20 West from DFW to Sweetwater. Longest one day ride so far (ok, I'm a wuss). I left a little late in the morning, and failed to reach the edge of thedesert, but...

Sorry about what kind of bike it is, but I'm workin' on it![8D]

If you rode your bike in Dallas on a weekday, you are anything but a wuss...
I'm afraid to drive a car through there

Well Rob. Even if you don't get that Sportie, the Shadow will make the trip no problem.

One of my buddies rides a bike just like yours, they're nice bikes. Looks like a great trip, I'd like to ride out west sometime.

My original insane thought was a daytrip to either Roswell or Carlsbad, NM! Roswell, because it's quick to see the UFO museum, and a good incentive to come back the same day! I've always wanted to go to Carlsbad Caverns, and that ride is "only" about 450 miles one way, but I certainly don't want to make that one a daytrip! I can spend an entire day at the caverns and the roads in the park! That's at least a two day trip, preferably three or even four. The throttle lock was indespensible on this trip, too. As was the 3 liter hydration pack! I'm still not ready for the Iron Butt Association, though! LOL! 1,000 miles in 24 hours is a VERY LONG time in the saddle![sm=insomnia.gif]
