The only bagger I would consider would be the EVO 80 (1340cc) because it is ALMOST as good as a Sportster. More torque at low end, lower top speed and still low-tech enough for a DIY rider to wrench on and enjoy it with having to "re-map" anything.

Got it, thanks for pointing that out.

For the record, I actually don't feel that way by any stretch. I actually could care less what bike someone rides, if that is what they like or what they can afford than so be it.

I was simply posting what was said in the article with the focus (in my mind at least) that I was referenced which I thought was pretty cool.

Being a fat old turd, I wonder if I still qualify to ride a Sportster. Am I required to turn my bike in and get a squatty bagger? And my Sportster patch on my leather jacket, would that have to go, too? I'm worried now.

I'm fat and feel old but keep riding mine.

Of course I do have my 96 Heritage Softail that I put a few 100 miles on last year ...
