We were going to put buckhorns on HC's bike but they did not look right with the neck and the bars seemed to be too narrow to look right. We may try to out the 10 inch bars off the WG when I get new bars. I think the neck will throw it off. Otherwise I think it would look great.

I have always wanted to know what my bike would look like with apes?
Does anyone have any pics?

RE: Dont know about you but apes are a must!
I fixed the link. Next month I am having 15" apes installed, wired through the bars, and braided cabling.
I'll post pics when completed.
I am also going with auxilary lights, chrome front end kit, custom sidekick seat, stealth collection hand grips & foot pegs, and an assortment of other chrome.
For the current setup had to change the cabling which was measured by the dealer, relocate the turn signals, and of course the bars.
Have fun!

I replaced the stock bars on my 2005 1200 Custom with Ape hangers, not too high (although I wish I went higher), about chest high.
For me this made a big difference in handling, and it just looks good.
Of course, the cabling had to be replaced, which was upgraded to the braided style.
Take a look at some pics:

Here are some links (posting pics is kicking my a$$) to pics of my XL with 12 inch apes on 4 1/2 inch risers. The first picis just of the XL with Apes. The second is the front of both my XL and Wide Glide to see a comparison of reg 12 inch apes, and miniapes. I love apes. I have drags on it now for a change of pace. I may throw some buck horns on there for the wife to see if she likes them??
