The 1200 sportster engine is awsome.I can run at 70-80 miles an hour for hundreds of miles the only reason to stop is for gas or because Im tired.It keeps up with the big twins with no problem.Its never gotten close to overheating even in stop and go traffic.Dosent burn or leak oil.Its allways started right up and has never cut out on me.The power it has is impressive,If Im doing 60 and nail it, the rest of the world stops and she takes me exactly were I wanted to go.I cant say enough good things about this bike.

 

You must not be sittin' in Houston traffic. I almost had to pull over the other day cause I was detoured for 2 hours. The pingin' from the heat made it seem like there were bullets in it. Of course, it was about 95 with high humidity too.

 

Basically the same can be said for a Hyundai.

 

You're right, the 1200 is a strong engine. I have a 1200R and it's pretty quick, I also have V&H shortshots staggered and they're soooo d*** loud, lol. it's awesome.

 

I have a 96 sporty and it is a very strong and responsive engine..
