Actually, I went for the eye exam on Thursday and I had the glasses on Monday.

Sorry for the multi-post. Damn computer f-ed up on me. I hit the "ok" button and it kept on loading. Maybe it was the site even.

Do you wear a helmet? I had a similar problem, retnal detachment, and had to wear glasses. I just picked up 2 snap-on face shields, tinted and clear for $20 ea. and use with my regular glasses. May not look as "cool" but an inexpensive solution for the season.

I use two pair of prescription goggles:

1) WileyX which have tinted transition lenses;
2) Panoptix clear lenses with bi-focals for night riding.

Neither one was expensive ($250+), but they are comfortable and work well.

I don't understand do you where glassesall of the time now. If so why not get Lasic surgery. I had it done around 4 years ago and that was the best thing I have ever done in my life. Now I just throw on a pair of shades and ride.

Wiley X for me. Bought a set of Polarized grey lenses for the bright and clear lenses for the dark. Had them about 2 months and they work great. I like being able to switch the lensesinstead of carrying 2 pairs of goggles. Also a thing to keep in mind. The older we get.Our eyes dry out easier. This can cause an infection. Not a good thing. Which is why I switched to goggles.
