Default dk custom Thunder Torque inserts

decides to try them on my VH straight shots no baffles the popping was about to cause me to buy full baffles. tried el cheapo thumbs screws just to see. tried different angles couldnt really tell most likley they was to small the popping argh just gonna happen with fully open pipes. so went with the DK'S and much improved got them at 90 degrees and quieter overall and the popping down maybe 80% worth the $

Good to hear you like them. I have a set in my Wife's 1200 Custom and my 77 XLH 1000.

I have them in my straight fishtails. Big improvement on low end torque!

I just purchased these for my '04 sporty. Removed baffles from my python slip ons with no issues. The problem I'm having is that I can't get my heat shields to slip over the exhaust because the nut from the inserts is getting in the way. Any advice would be appreciated!

Coyotebody - had the same problem installing them in my Wife's 04 1200 Custom. Remove the baffle and slip the heat shield on. Mark the baffle hole from inside the pipe onto the inside of the heat shield. Move that mark to the outside of the heat shield and drill it out. Put the heat shield back on and then install the baffles. You are welcome . . . in advance AND ya'll owe me a beer. Went out to the garage to look 2 times. LOL

Genius, will drill the heat shields this week! I’ve been riding around baffleless terrorizing my poor neighbors, hopefully the tt inserts will quiet him down and allow me to keep the performance.

Has anyone installed these in a stock exhaust with the baffles still in them?

I’m no expert but I’m not sure you’d want or need them as the stock pipes are restrictive/quiet as it is, I’m assuming you have no decel popping or other issues

was not sure if they would make the exhaust sound deeper/more aggressive. Somewhere between stock and removing the baffles and installing the tti.
