Boots/Shoe question

RE: Boots/Shoe question
I wear Doc Marten boots for riding and have never had the soles slip (knock on wood) when I put my feet down. I love them and thats pretty much all I ever wear, for riding, work, my sandals, if its on my feet it says Doc Marten on it LOL.
I did buy a pair of Harley boots this season but they are slip on w/o zippers and I just can't get them on without it feeling like I am going to break my ankle trying to get my foot in the boot[:@][:@]I am going to try and get a zipper custom added if not to expensive.

RE: Boots/Shoe question
I normally wear River Road engineer boots while riding out and about. They fit me a little large, so I wear thick socks with them, but they are comfortable for all day wear, either on or off the bike. At work I wear some non-issue roper-style boots with a "wedge-type" rubber slip-resistant sole. I think I paid like $50 bucks for 'em. I'm on my feet all day walking on hard tile floors, and I KNOW they are comfortable to me. I tuck my polyester/wool uniform pants inside so the legs don't blow up to my knees while riding to and from work. I wear pull on boots. Whether I'm riding or not. I just wear what's comfortable off the bike, and ride with that.

RE: Boots/Shoe question
I always wore regular riding boots and they were great for riding, but they were miserable for walking when you got to a rally or whatever. I foundthe Harley Yuma bootcheap on the internet-neversaw them in a Harley shop. The same boot is in men's. They're really nothing more than hiking boots and really, really comfortable. Me feet are very happy now for riding AND walking. Men have a better choice to go non-Harley brand. I couldn't find much in the ladies dept. http://www.shoemall.com/catalog/prod...uctsPerPage=66
