I have Iron 883 2015 with full system V&H Short Short @ Stock Baffles. I'm hearing bells while riding. I guess this is because of timing chain & have visited harley multiple times with no luck. For them everything is normal but this wasn't there before. Until I hit 6000km on odd. What harley has checked already is.... timing chain is all ok, timming adjuster is all ok & timming tension is at company default. I wasn't able to attach the video however here is the link to YouTube. I'm sorry if im breaking any rules but that is the only way i could attach this & for all your reference (https://youtu.be/ShkCmbuo7mo) any help in this concern will be appreciated because I'm sure harley is not sure what they are doing. Going to visit them again today with the video.

Regards
Amit Modi
Doesn't sound any different than mine does at the same speed. Toss in a good ear protector for the wind noise and let the evo do it's thing, your good.

Very Funny Tucci 😝 Forward it to 13 seconds and listen... later wait for few more seconds and see it increasing to next level.

Just hope they tightened the primary chain to specs, not just keep tightening till the noise goes away. It can be TOO tight. That can cause serious engine problems. I assume there was sufficient lube in the primary case as well?

They have tightened little over the specs. However yes enough lube was there as the full service was done recently. However I'm not sure if they even know the default specs. They don't use anything to measure one thing and the worst part they don't even have a torque wrench to ensure every nut and bolt has been tightened as it should. Left engine cover was opened to check and everything was tightened with a normal wrench.

Do you have a service manual? If not I would advice getting one and some tools to start doing the work yourself. At least getting advice here and your manual, you will be armed with knowledge.

OK I listened to it again and if it were mine I would check the tension on the Primary Chain. Then make sure the Primary/tyranny fluid is where it needs to be. I rode mine without a helmet a week or so back and mine sounded very similar. I was told the EVOs especially the ones on Sportys are noisy...their right I didn't like all that wracked.

I'm trying to adapt to this sound because primary has been tightened, fluid is at factory level and I still here that sound everyday.... maybe because I know it, it's more audible. But yes heard this same sound on all sportsters. Some are more loud compared to mine. I wish harley in all these years tried to resolve this rather acting like we don't care...
