Default 2002 sportster carb problem

When I took my carb apart the other day to clean the jets a part fell onto the ground. I can’t find a picture in my Harley manual as to what this might go to in the carb. Any suggestions?

Default Throttle cable won’t slide into the housing

I am trying to put my throttle cable back into the carb housing, And it won’t go flush. Any idea on why this is?

Cables reversed? Not adjusted correctly? Need better pictures of the part from a couple of different angles.

Go here for Sportster Carb Stuff: http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...cal_categories

Or here for parts diagram: https://serviceinfo.harley-davidson....136&groupId=14

It's number 35 in the drawing. Goes through one of the holes in the top cap, the one that supports the throttle linkage.

Probably why his cable linkages are not correct.
