Well she went back together but not without a fight. Snapped one of the Rocker assembly bolts Lucky it was just above the head so i could grab it with pliers and screw it out.

When it snapped all sorts of bad things went trough my head and a whole lot of very colourful language was heard around the street lol

Now to tune it up

That could well look much nicer with matching blacked out screws.

Glad it’s progressing Pagey.

Did you get a new ignition module, eg Twin Tec or other?

Default Wrist bore offset..?

Question for anyone who knows:
My stock 883 pistons have a wrist bore offset that is designed by HD to balance the piston under load.

I noticed another big bore kit also has the offset, BUT it seems Hammer don’t do this.
Their instructions state pistons can go either way if valve pockets are identical which they are for stock heads.

http://hammerperf.com/ttinstallkit.s...embleCylinders

So, I’m wondering why. Does Hammer know better than HD on what would be critical for performance, load, longevity and wear?

Instructions from other kit maker:

Piston wrist bore offset

I've had several Hammer builds and they all run smoother than any thing Harley puts out. My 110 HP build is holding just fine. I believe Aaron is an engineer as well. Why don't you ask Hammer to see what they have to say.
