Worked a very long week and finally have a day off[&o]Came home yesterday and my bud with the 66' Sporty noticed one of my motor mount bolts were missing!So I rode up to the dealership and basically they don't carry extra'sWas told to take it home other wise the other one may work loose having to take the load. Dawn and I had a sweet ride thru WV/Maryland and back to PA planned out for today but it's a no go[:@]So if I want to ride I have to do it alone on my Shadow[&:]

 

was it the front lower one? I've heard they loosen up but I never heard of oneone loosing one

 

no it was the front top left bolt where the mount connects to the head/jug[:'(]so there is only 1 holding that 1 on[:-]

 

Is it a special bolt?

 

Go to the hardware store and get another one. Make sure you get the right strength bolt.

 

I planned on that but all the hardwear stores are closed in my area and thought maybe HD might give me a hard time with a warranty issue if I used a aftermarket bolt,will be grabbing one tomarrow and letting the dealership put the new one in when it gets here.

 

As long as the bolt met specs the dealer can't say crap!

Check your manual for the bolt specs.
