$25,000 into a sportster, I love mine, but holy ****. Where is the other one, for $25,000 you could buy 2 and 2/3 sportsters. Or one of any other HD of your choice.

It says that this bike is a "one of a kind".....It just looks like the H-D Parts Catalog exploded all over it. I saw nothing "one of a kind" about it. It's just standard issue black sporty with extras, but not a "one of a kind".

I saw "Fuel Injected" and stopped looking at the auction right away.

What else are they 'not telling us' correctly - whether by accident or on purpose?

No f'in way. I bet he had $25k into it. I figure about $18K for the bike even if the dealer did the work plus the custom engineering for the radiator and cooler. Now it is worth about $10-11k and then you'd have to strip off half the crap he added to it only to Ebay it. I think I'll take a stock Nightster and save the headache.

I still don't see anyway that the previous owner can have $25,000 tied up in that bike. Looks like there wasn't any custom fabrication or anything, just a lot of 'bolt on' stuff.

Guess any motorcycle is worth whatever a person is willing to pay, but ever so you would think there was a reasonable limit.....

This looks to me like a dealer or wholesaler acquired the bike and doesn't know anything about it. Anytime they use the line "the transmission shifts as it did when it was new" it's a dead giveaway that it's a dealer.
