Exclamation Softail wheels on 48 Sportster?

Whatsup everyone?
I came across a STEAL for a set (Front and Rear) of 16x3 Softail 40 spoke wheels.A few questions.. I have a 2016 Sportster 48 and was wondering if there was going to be any issues for the swap? Also, is it bad to run a tire tube in a tubeless tire? Thanks in advanced!

16x3 Softail 40 spoke wheel

I'm assuming these came off a '97 softail (43085-97) That picture is just a reference. The ones i purchased have all spokes and no bends.

43085-97 is a number for the rim only, not the wheel assembly ... the rim is used many different years laced to different hubs ...

The only info i have on the wheel is that one says CMR 10-00 made in Italy 43085-97 and the other says CMR 07-02 made in Italy 43085-97.

Help us to help you, there's a good chap! Are those details written on the wheel rims or the hubs? The -97 suggests to me that if they are earlier than your bike and not suitable. My advice is to look for wheels with clear diagnostic details about them! A bargain is only a bargain if you can be confident they are suitable.

as the Chester HD ad shows ... rim ... does not show wheel assembly ... Ronnie's also show it as a Rim ... there's a different number for the wheel assembly ... the rim can and has been laced to different hubs for different models from 1997 to 2020 ... that's why you need to know what bike they came from to figure out if the hubs are compatible with what you have ...
