If the Anti Gravity is lithium then you will need to get a new tender charger designed specifically for it.

You need to get the charger that comes with the attachment lanyard to hold it down.

Lithium batteries have a different nominal voltage than regular AGM lead batteries so they require a specialized charger. Here's the one I use and it works fine:

Lithium batteries also don't require anti sulfation step that is on some smart chargers.

I have the same brand charger as my lithium battery. Wasn't cheap, I have to say, but I was mindful of the different charging requirements mentioned above. Mine plugs into a socket in the battery itself, it doesn't connect to the terminals.

Noticed years ago on the first lithium small batteries was the voltage was slightly different. What I do not understand here is if you need a special maintenance charger, why or how does the bike know how to handle it?

I bought a H-D lithium battery last summer, with good results. I have it on a lithium charger maintainer, now (2 amp), and hope to have no problems this riding season. These batteries are very light weight!
