Do you recall what bars were on this bike?

My '17 SuperLow after spending alot of money making it mine. One more thing to do to it is, chrome fork sliders. They're sitting in the box waiting for winter install.

At almost 64 it will more than likely be my last bike, and I'm perfectly fine with that.

Congratulations on both endorsement and the bike! I got mine at 40. Took me awhile to achieve certain things in life and get to the point I was either courageous or stupid enough to ride. I suppose it's a combination of both. My first bike was a new 48 Special and it was/is a great starter bike. Was seriously looking at the Iron but I wanted some chrome, not so much like the Low or Custom, but more than the Iron. I agree the Iron is a great looking bike with perfect lines! I tried to upgrade for a year and test rode everything below the Touring bikes. Ended up grabbing a Dyna Wide Glide this year but find that I ride and enjoy the 48 more. After being so disappointed in the Dyna, I'm thinking I really like the Sportster frame and options out there and might grab a second one instead for other needs like maybe scrambler or touring. It is my favorite Harley for sure!

Why were you disappointed in the Dyna? I've never heard that before! FOR WHAT IT WAS DESIGNED FOR the 883 is plenty of bike. Long highway tours or chronic two-up riding is NOT what the Sportster IMO was designed for. I'll NEVER sell my 1200 nor have any plans to get another.

It just didn't fit the "upgrade" role I thought it would. The Sportster is all-around a much better bike for me. Once I realized this (can't tell from test rides) I need to let the D go.

So many people regret selling their Sportsters & buying a big twin but after they've signed a finance contact is too late.

I know I'll never be ne of those people.

I honestly think HD had no idea how successful they were going to be with the Sportster & it's perfection is THE reason why it's STILL in production. I must be right since they've dropped EVERY other model model since 1957 except the Sportster.

Exactly as mark put it. I bought my sporty new at age 51 after wanting one for the past 27 years. Life and Kids came first, when all were grown I bought my dream machine and am making it my own. I easily could have bought any bike I wanted, I wanted the classic. I’d do it all over again tomorrow.
