Hammer6315,

What type of rear shock are you using on your bike?

I just did a "find all posts" by Hammer6315, then went back as far
as March 2020 and did not find any pictures posted from him. Therefore,
I will assume you are referring to my '13 Iron shown in his reply above.
If this is the case, they are Harley air-over-oil 12" shocks from a Street Glide.

hope this helps,

T.

My first bike. Bought it used/stock two years ago, after receiving my motorcycle endorsement at age 38 . Keep adding crap to it... but it'll be my forever bike. I'll keep it around, even after eventually upsizing. Yes, a Harley 883 is just fine as a beginner bike.

Hey, man, I got my endorsement two years ago at 43. And my Sporty was my first and so far only bike that I got a year and a half ago. It was a LITTLE bit big as a starter bike, but I'm not over 6' tall either. :P Also, having mine in not-quite-operable condition starting out did cause some difficulties for me. It's been great since I got it running properly and got used to the feel of it, though!

It still blows my mind that the Iron 883 from the years with that logo script are still, to me, the best looking bikes that Harley has ever made. I actually don't think that the Iron 1200 looks nearly as good. I think they got the right amount of silver accents into the blacked out look on this bike. Really nice, man! Bravo!

As my daughter would say, "same." I love my iron 883. I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. You can make them your own.
