I switched from the stock Dunflops to the Metzeler Cruisetecs last year. I've been very happy with them so far. The profile is definitely rounder/sportier for better leaning, and multi-compound for sticky sides and longer life in the straights. Also warms up quickly. Should last a lot longer than the Shinko 777 that a lot of people like.

The Commander 3 came out at the beginning of the year, so that could also be a good option. Supposedly similar to the Cruisetec and Dunlop American Elite (dual compound, better wet performance), but also supposedly improving on the tread life of the Commander 2. The Cruise variant might also have a sportier profile like the Cruisetec. I've yet to see any comparison reviews, as both tires are quite new, but both have had rave reviews. Just something to consider.

Michelin commander 2 is what i have been running for about 4500 miles.i really like this tire.i am due for a front one and i will put the same brand on the front.i am getting decent wear with my aggressive riding.harley branded michelin is what was on the bike and it was a little slippery on dry roads.

The front is a Michelin Commander-II in a 110 size.

And yes, it's on backwards, in my rush to get everything back together,
I didn't pay attention to which way I stuck it in... Just one of the things
I'll correct this coming weekend...

A couple of weeks ago when I was out I saw a rear tyre on backward.

Last weekend I saw another Sportster that had a front tyre on the back and was fitted following the arrow so that was on backward as well.

I like the look of laced wheels on motorcycles. Those saddlebags, unless I used them often, would have to go. I've got a bag fitted to my sissy bar that's large enough for my needs. Just my opinion.
