yeah I get it! I’m not big in ALL black either. I need to have something break it. Even if it’s just the Allen bolts or pushrod covers.
in a way I wish I went with the chrome cobra 909’s instead of the black. Wouldn’t mind having some pop because the white tank is so nice
if anyone wants to trade heatshields let me know. Lol

Its a 2010 xl1200x, hammer 1275 kit w/ flat top pistons, jackhammer cams, modified HD heavy breather (HD sportster heavy breather bracket w/ HD m8 heavy breather tube/filter with a custom adapter plate), and the bassani road rage 3 exhaust, stock heads. dyno chart is in the dyno sticky.

removing the baffles on the 909 exhaust is easy IF you loosen the mounting bolts and the exhaust flange nuts to get baffles out of a bind.i have already fought with this until i figured it out lol.i have had my exhaust off around 5 times doing different mods to the bike and i dont have to worry about stuck baffles anymore.i sanded almost all of the tips of the muffler shields while they were still on the bike.
interesting! So if I’m reading this right, your saying remove the 2 bolts holding the pipes onto the exhaust mount and also remove the header from the engine while the heat shields are still on? And then you will have more room to work while it’s off the bike and In your hands?
sorry if I misinterpreted

Thanks, I am loving how everything turned out. I bought the bike new so it has taken a long time to get it to this point.

that custom paint job with the shadow effect is sick. I’m a big fan of what you did with the intake, always loved the M8 filter..
really creative, props to you
