I’ve exchanged an email with Hammer and I’m weighing the options and how much the boy can afford to do. I told myself when we bought it that we’d leave the engine alone lol 😂

I don’t want to put him on my street xl yet. So this is our cure for more speed 🤪

Default catch can

On the second picture, I take it that that is your catch can. do the hoses just go in the bottle and then vent out the open top? The hose that is not in the bottle, is that supposed to be in the bottle also? Also does the air that vents out of the open bottle make any kind of a mess of oily residue on the bike. How often do you empty the bottle? My catch can holds about 4 ounces and fills up in about 100 miles then i have to dump it, only a small amount of oil in the water. Is this a normal amount? First time I have had an external breather with a catch can

Yes, it's my catch can. All 3 bikes have similar set ups. Yes, 2 crank case hoses go in the bottle and the mikuni 48 overflow goes in there too. Yes, the hose needs to be shoved back in the bottle along with the mikuni hose. Its not riding season here and i just did maintenance on the bike and washed it. Hoses in the way of *oil filter* No oily residue, hoses are in the bottle half way. Empty once a year. Mine isn't that much, but I don't put on a lot of miles a year anymore, mostly hard miles at the drag strips. That seems a little excessive, but maybe the water came from somewhere else is a possibility. All 3 bikes have similar set ups and I've never had issues. Just used plastic bottles, or aluminum bottles with caps or martini shakers, that's my favorite. Just keep an eye on it.
