Default HF lift

I have the forklift-style lift from HF and the bottlejack went south. HF says they have no replacement for it. Anyone replaced their jack and if so with what? This the lift that can lift your bike 3 feet in the air.

Might it be similar to the cylinders used for engine hoists? Summit racing sells replacement cylinders for those - https://www.summitracing.com/search/...lacement-parts. There are also others to be found if you do a browser search for "long ram hydraulic jack". Harbor Freight sells a couple too - https://www.harborfreight.com/3-ton-...ack-36468.html

Thanks John for the info. HF now says they have some coming in a month so I'll wait and see.

FWIW I have rebuilt the jack on a HF lift... Note; there is 2 different Lifts... one much simpler than the other!!!!!
And Older ones, Like My original, are different again from newer models!!!!! PITA
But, I like the Cost and Function...

Not being snarky but this would have been a really great post if you'd included information about where to get the parts. I've some experience trying to find parts to refresh a floor jack (not a Harbor Freight unit) and I had a terrible time trying to find the right seals for it.

I have the same problem with a Craftsman lift.....the jack "release" is stuck in the release position......no replacement available. I am going to try adapting a standard 2 or 3 ton bottle jack to the lift mechanism. I have lots of tools including welders so I should be able too.....just have to use the hands to release the jack instead of the foot.

Got tired of waiting so took couple of pieces of wood, drilled them so the too short jack i replaced it with could still mount up. Works like a champ.
