Yellow headlight

Yellow headlight
Mornin,
While scouring the web I came across something that would allow me to stain glass. At a craft store it's the paint that is used to make hobby stained glass pieces. I picked myself up some yellow transparent paint and proceeded to dismantle my headlight to prep for paint. This can be removed without harming the headlight which is the only reason why I continued to do this.
The end result pretty much looks like something from the ol' days. Sorry, no pic yet, just figure'd I'd share my lil project with everyone

RE: Yellow headlight
Please don't take offense, but......Why? I'm trying to understand why you would want a yellow headlight. I can understand it if your trying to match the light to your paint for a monochromatic look. However, tinting that light will most likely decrease you visibility at night. I would actually like to get a brighter whiter light out of my headlight so I could see ever better, kinda like Silverstar headlights for a car/truck.

RE: Yellow headlight
ROFL! Least I didden't put in a dichronic coated bulb, that's blue and states that it's 10x brighter than regular bulbs, or better yet, charged with xenon gas.....
1/2 of me figure'd I'd get a response like the ones below then again I have to remember the genre this site caters too. Granted my project, crude at best, does not produce any color temp charts, or light output graphs (friend of mine has that, I might) It will not reduce the amount of light put through my headlight.
Next plan is a Xenon hid hi/low retrofit, granted the lens doesn't produce an awful beam pattern with the added light. For more info and education try http://forums.lighting.philips.com/ or http://www.webbikeworld.com/t2/motor...ight-bulbs.htm
I have a relative that works for sylvania as a developer, I might be able to get more "technical" input from him.

RE: Yellow headlight
I am interested in yellow auxillary lights. I see a few Road Kings and so forth running around with them. I have only seen them during the day & not turned on.
I think the amber lights at night time will make you stand out from the crowd of other vehicles out there. I am not sure about the legality of an amber headlight. ???
