polishing aluminum
Are there any aluminum parts on my '03 Sportster that I should not use aluminum polish on, for example ones that may have been clear coated or whatever?
I plan to go out today and get that Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish that another member suggested to me the other day and get started on it. Also what is 'billet'? I see Mothers makes the Mag & Aluminum polish and Billet Aluminum polish with the latter being twice the price almost of the Mag& Aluminum.
Thanks all
Tom

RE: polishing aluminum
Billet usually means "made from one piece" and is not "usually" polished to a mirror finish, where most wheels are polished. ******* makes good stuff, the Original ******* should be better for you as the wheel polish is going to be a fine grain polish, more of a cleaner type stuff than a polish, kinda like wax for your aluminum or chrome.
