Default Haulen ***

Does anyone out there know anything about the Haulen *** sissy bars for Sportsters? They look kinda flimsy to me and I don't want to be dumpin *** as a result. I was thinking about getting one cause there a hell of a lot cheaper than the sideplate type models offered by H.D. Any input would be appreciated.

I got one on ebay for dirt cheap. Solid as a rock. I could lift the bike with it!

I've got a Sundowner seat, willit clear the pillion on it? Also do you have any pics of it installed on your bike. I would really appreciate it!

I've had mine for a while now. As Dallas stated, it is solid. If you trust the seat to hold you on, then you should feel comfortable about the Haulen *** Sissy bar staying on. The front of the HA Sissy bar mounts through the hole on the fender where the passenger seat pillion would mount and the rear is mounted on with the same screw that holds your seat onto the fender. As far as it clearing the Sundowner seat pillion, you need to measure from the fender where the seat mounts to the top of the seat padding, and then order the appropriate seat pad to allow for the clearance. I give it two thumbs up. I also thought it looked kinda flimsy, but it actually very solid. Here's a link to a close upof it on my bike in the photo gallery....https://www.hdforums.com/photo.asp?p...=6&apage=1

Here's another pic but not as close up.

I know this is an older post but I have to plug this product one more time.

I picked up an earlier model bar from a fellow member, (cheers Adrian) made a couple of minor mods
to suit the 08 and the missus loves it. She feels much safer on the back now she has her *** against something.
It does appear to sit back further that the correct part number for the bike but it suits here fine and she is not sitting
right in my back anymore.

Great product and really sturdy, would recommend to anyone that wants a clean line look.

I added a bit of bling to the back as they are a bit plain in that regard (Just need a 1" chrome bolt for it instead of the stainless one)

I know this post is pretty much done but..... The haulen *** sissy bar doesnt seem any cheaper than the harley to me. You can get a HD sissy bar, rigid plates, and pad for about $217 brand new. The haulen *** version is $210. Just throwin that in there.

It is the lack of sideplates that is attractive about the Haulen *** Backrest.

You could also adapt the duece backrest to a sporty (one I looked at) I
suppose but it lacks the support of the Haulen *** bar.
