Default Throttle cable routing

I just noticed that my throttle cables might be routed improperly. Shouldn't they be in that little plastic bracket?

Figured. Thanks Andy.

They haven't cause a problem (yet). It's not immediately obvious to me how I should get them in the right place. I don't think I can just unhook them from the bar and pull them out at that spot on the frame.

Unbolt the tank, lift it up, slide cables in position, lower tank.

I'm pretty sure my 04 XL 1200 is stock and I'm pretty sure I don't have that little plastic thing . I shall check first thing in the morning .

Yep, this worked great: https://i.imgur.com/SvVlkBj.jpg

Those little cosmetic black plastic covers on both sides, they came off, but the adhesive stayed behind, I'll have to clean that off.
