Take a poll. There are thousands of bikes out there without this problem without a drop of Loctite.
Something is happening that we cannot see.
I put washers under the flanged bolts that hold the mufflers on because I saw them on a parts list website. The screws came undone. I then looked at the FSM and see there is no washer called for.
New screws fitted sans washers and they hold firm and without Loctite.

Actually that’s exactly right, the previous owner didn’t use spacers and apparently just shrugged overtightened both leads. (I used spacers on the new battery.)
