Can anyone tell me, are the Vance & Hines Short Shots just straight pipes with baffles in them or are there something else in the pipes?

 

I believe you are correct in your belief that they are merely baffled straight pipes. They come with two styles of baffles, both are loud, but different tones of loud. I do like the look of them! Check on you tube for further info.

 

As hammer stated you are correct, I have a set on my 48 with tti's installed sound's great with added torque...

I have some straight shot slip-ons that came on a 2008 Custom and they are straight through with no baffle also.

i have them on my bike as well. no baffles. loud but tolerable
