Octane booster and fuel topend lubricant additives. I did a fill up with the premium fuel as usual but this tank I added no Lucas topend lubricant and octane booster like I usually do. I originally did this because I got some light pinging on the highway under hard excelleration. Now that it is really hot outside, without doing the additives, the engine really pings, even under normal excelleration. I wonder if Harley is aware of this problem? I am guessing theyare aware,but have no choice but to run the engine lean to keep the emissions down. I am hoping newpipes and a remap cures this problem.
