Default 2014 1200T- lowering options

As the title says- I'm looking for opinions/advice for lowering the wifes Sportster. Needs at least an inch.
I'm guessing it's a choice of blocks or shocks. Are the Burley kits any good? Others?

I have a 2004 XL1200C with Progressive Suspension lowering rear shocks. 11" eye to eye. Previous owner was a Leprechaun and I an 6'. Looking to trade for some stock length shocks.

The 1200T comes with the Reach seat. The Super Reach seat may help but it is a solo, the passenger portion is a separate purchase. The Super Reach will move you forward 1-1/2" and it's narrower also. The catalog states it's for riders 5'-5'4". Part #52000207, passenger part#51744-07A. I am familiar with this because I ordered my '17 Roadster with a Reach seat, I'm 5'3", and it was not enough. The Super Reach may have worked for me but I already gave HD all the $ I was going to in the seat department so I sent my Reach seat to Sargent over this past winter and they moved the 'rise' forward 1-1/2", installed premium foam without raising it. June 1st- June 17th I rode from the Adirondacks to Casper Wyoming and back and it worked great. They say 500 mile break in, but I found it to be more than that. Good luck

I also had an Ohlins shock built for my weight, the Roadster is a different animal. The changes I’ve made are the difference between keeping or selling this bike...

The 2014 bike which I am sure is the same as my 2017 already comes with quite low suspension using 11.5" eye to eye shocks. With very little travel now I am not sure using shorter would be a good idea. Blocks if they don't affect shock travel would be a better option.

Agreed if absolutely have to lower it .. Would sure talk to a local upholstery shop first and see if anyway possible can get low enough with the Seat First .. I'm short myself but hate to sacrifice Ground Clearance or Lean Angle ..

Thanks- already fitted the super reach solo- still need more! She's 4'11". May have to have a custom seat, but one step at a time.

I can't really see how the seat makes much difference for foot placement after a certain point as the oil cover and battery cover stick out past the seat.

The seat could possibly be remodelled to reduce some of its height.
