Default 2017 Iron 883 RHCM not working/can't start

Can not start bike, no right hand controls are working. Chased wires and nothing is bent or chewed. Took apart the module but nothing to see really...
Was not ridden for the winter/spring, bought new and only 180 miles on it. Replaced battery, all lights work besides hazzards and right blinker...WONT start!
Help????

Define "won't start". Does the starter spin the motor and it won't fire or is there no starter action at all?
First I would check and clean all fuses and relay contacts as well as the battery ground to the frame.

Fuel pump is live, no power to anything in the hand control, no start, so hazzard. I have been trying to find the larger fuse box but can only locate the main fuses. All the lights come on, everything seems find. There is an engine light on...

My first bike, I am a car girl and do not know jack when it comes to bikes, but I am trying.... very frustrating that it is basically brand new and I can't get it to start. My Harley dealer could not care less....

It sounds a lot like something is unplugged somewhere - maybe under the seat or under the tank? The Right and Left handlebar controls share power and ground feeds so if one is working and the other isn't about the only thing it can be is a demated or dirty connector. There should be 2 4-pin connectors that each have a red (power), a black with green stripe (ground), a white with a red stripe and a white with a black stripe (the CANBUS). One goes to the left side, one to the right. There is also a white with grey stripe wire on a single pin that goes to the right side for the engine stop switch.

I am sorry to say that I have no clue where those connectors are but can provide the link to the wiring diagrams: https://serviceinfo.harley-davidson....80be48d4!!3!69

Since the engine light came on you should check for codes:
Harley Trouble Codes

If you don't have the owner's manual you can download it from the Harley website.

Default Same problem

I’m having the same issue. Did you ever find out what was wrong with it?

On the CAN bus bikes the run/stop switch is not part of the network. Looking at a wiring diagram the engine stop switch as it is called has a W/GY wire from it to the BCM Engine Stop Switch Input. That would account for the fuel pump coming to life when the switch is operated.

So if the hazards and engine start switch do nothing then either the switch itself is faulty or the module in the RHCM is faulty or something has happened to the wiring.

With that as a fault there ought to be a DTC stored. Harley Trouble Codes (fuelmotousa.com)

One other check, does the brake light come on when you operate the front brake?

I have a 2017 iron 883 and this seems to be a big problem on this model. Everything works but the rhcm. Checked all connections and they looked good. Ordered a new rhcm from Harley but they are back ordered over a month and not cheap. Is there a way to troubleshoot the rhcm to see if that is the cause.
