HELP! My exhaust is too loud...lol

There it is again ! Could someone please explain to me what these neighbourhood motorcycle bans actually mean ? I have been led to believe that riding a Harley Davidson is the ultimate expression of American freedom so I honestly find it hard to understand how this operates . For example how is this policed and enforced ? What exactly constitutes a neighborhood ? I just can't see how the law of the land can be overridden by .... by what ? Sorry , I'm not usually stuck for words but this nightmarish scenario is just beyond my comprehension . Please enlighten me.

Call a local hd dealer and see if they have any take-offs sitting around. Lots of dealers do.
This is because every time some person who just bought a bike (new or used), they may want to immediately change out the exhaust if stock or even if not... out of ignorance adhering to word of mouth/styling preferences. The removed set (full system or slip-ons) gets left at the dealer in a lot of cases.
Some , not all, dealers will sell you the stock take offs cheap.
Will the takeoffs work with what you already have or in place of it? Research, honest/ helpful dealer folks, and the forum can help there.

64842-04 is correct for 2004-2010 bikes
80399-04 seem to be slash cut and not tapered. Just make sure they have the interconnect outlet on them.
What is confusing is the parts finder I was looking at shows different part numbers for front and rear muffler.

Called Harley, they said there is an O2 sensor difference in those parts and they won't work. I'll have to order the ones for my bike then.

If they are public roads maintained through your taxes and your driveway is solly owned by you and are single family detached homes;
If it is a legally licensed vehicle, then it would not be possible for an HOA in a non-gated, non-private road community to ban the use of them on the roads. They can require they be parked out of site, like RVs and such, but not prohibit them from using the roads
If they are private roads then you are screwed!
