Good Day all! I've been doing research on the HD Smart Alarm System and just have to ask; of the riders here on the forum with an alarm installed, has it prevented theft attempts on your bike, thwarted an actual attempt, or left with your bike as a parting gift? I know there's no way to stop a thief who is determined enough but, would just like to get an idea of the success rate. I'm also attaching a poll to see the most popular methods of securing your bike outside of garaging. For the time being, I myself only use a front disc lock and/or chain the back wheel to something. So what about you? Thanks in advance!

 

I used the smart alarm and smart siren. If I kept the bike outside overnight, I also used a chain. Smart alarm worked as it should with starter disable. Also eliminated someone trying to sit on your ride and straighten up the bike.

wouldn't know if anyone attempted to steal the bike, however my bike always remained how/where I left it.

 

I have the Smart Siren and Pager and they are good for what they are but people can sit on it but not straighten it up. It's also quite loud if it is triggered though. The way it's designed would make the bike impossible to start without a ne ECM & BCM plus a Digital Tec

I plan on having a unit installed next month so, until then I'm garaging it at my brother's less than a mile away. I recently moved to another state and the neighborhood isn't as nice as I hoped for but, hey! "At least I'm no longer dealing with C.A.R.B.."
