Default Putting on new mufflers

I have a 2007 1200C can I put on atermarket mufflers with out giong to the dealer and paying the service charge? The dealer wants $1200 or more for the servce hell the new mufflers are only $300. Just looking for abetter sound not performance. This is my first bike and want to get some exsperiance before increacing the HP.

sure.....my brother installed mine and his in about 2 hours while I was out of town....mine took a little longer because it was the first set he had ever installed....do it yourself.....
