I think the 2 3/4 would flow with the tank alittle better myself, and give alittle extra cush.

Yes maybe. I think if I have the upholstery guy make the sides of the seat at 2.5", the center pleated section likely will be up near 2.75"? G.B.

FYI.......For anyone considering building a Scrambler type bike, this wheel is back in stock. This wheel has been out of stock for almost a year and is a nice option. It was really difficult for me to find an 18 x 2.5" rim to build the rear wheel that I did.. To my knowledge, no one else is offering a Harley wheel of this size? G.B.

Finishing up a couple loose ends. Test fit rear turn signals. Need to wire them to the stock turn signal connectors I cut off the stock Harley turn signals.
I also welded tabs across the raised bead in the rear fender to route and contain the rear lamp wiring.
And lastly, I finally found some foot peg extenders. Since my RSD Tracker pipe if made for a 2004' and newer Sporty, the pipe was really close to the right side foot peg. My right ankle would have been up against the pipe. So I found some 2 1/4" Kurykyan foot peg extenders. These come in both 1 1/4" and 2 1/4" lengths. They are not cheap and only are sold in pairs, but I think my right ankle will appreciate it. G.B.

Yea that pipe would have your ankle pretty well done in about 20 minutes.

Is that a metal tube for the wires?

I think you asking about the rear fender? The fender has a raised bead down the center. The 5 pieces I welded on the underside of the fender span across the convex side of the bead and produce a channel to run the wires in. Make sense? G.B.

Yes I was asking about the rear, and that was what I thought you were talking about, but it looks like a metal tube is under those span pieces. Maybe optical illusion?

After my run today, I decided my next fork oil change will be to a lighter weight oil. Its a bit harsh, but it does seem to handle well. As long as I avoid those curves with the undulating bumps in them, I do not get the rear end hula dance. I wonder how other bikes handle that area?
