Default Sportster intakes

Hey guys and gals I’ve got an 87 sportster 883 and wondering if a newer intake system can fit or be made to fit my year as there isn’t very many or very cheap aftermarket intakes except from 04 and newer models?

Go to Dennis Kirk or J&P cycles. I have a round K & N on my 88, will cost about $130 or so including bracket- remember to order the mounting bracket for it, usually sold separately.

If the hole pattern and diameter of the carb mouth are the same, almost any airfilter product should work. You just need to use bolts instead of breather bolts on the heads. Also probably have to vent your camcase to small filter, or maybe plumb it into whatever you decide to buy. Shouldn't be too difficult. It's been done before.
