Default Recommendations Please??????

I am stationed in Seoul,Korea. I have 18 years of Army service under my belt. I have always wanted to learn how to ride. I am enrolled in the motorcycle driving course here in Seoul, South Korea.
Ihave narrowed my choices to a Sporster 1200 XL Custom and the Dyna Glyde FXD.
I am 6"1' and my weight is 220. I have no driving experience. This will be my first and last Harley. I will retire in 3 years, so money is not really an issue. What do you recommend? Thanks

Sportster will be faster(lotsa fun)
Dyna will be more comfortable.

As to what is more important to you, that is for you to decide. If you get a sportster I doubt it will be your last harley! :-)

If you've got the money, I'd go with the dyna.

Since you have the dough, go with the Dyna.

Sportsters are cool, fast and nimble bikes for sure and pretty comfortable (especially if you change the shocks and seat) but I would go with the Dyna for more room. comfort and it has a lower ctr. of gravity when compared to the Sportster. I would have gone with a street bob myself but the difference in price for what I wanted to do with the bike was too much at the time.

I bought my (used) sportster beacuse it was like new & half the price of a big twin of the same year. For the money you can't beat the value you get out of a sportster and it truly is a great bike.

All things (price)equal though, I would have gone with a street bob.
