Yeah it's pretty embarrassing when ya miss the second gear grab....I've done it a couple times. I second the synthetic trans oil too, makes a good difference

i just had my bike in for this issue and also a pretty nasty stator plug seal leak... they adjusted my clutch, and also my shift lever. they took it off and put it a few teeth down so you dont have to pull up so far... i still get a little bounce back when i pass neutral but its definitely a lot better..

Mine whacks into gear like all the rest of 'em. I also wear steel toe boots, so I'm used to the "feel". First will click/grind if I dont pop the shifter down like I mean it or I do it too slow.
