Default Hi guys, time for first service on my 2017 iron 883

I got 875 miles on it and we're going to the Laughlin River Run in a couple weeks. I'm kind of far away from the dealer and I didn't buy an extended warranty or prepaid service package.
Do i need to take it to the dealer or is it ok to do it myself? I don't want to void any warranties.
I'm mechanically proficient, I did all the sevices on my Polaris RZR without issue. I just kept a record if there was ever any question.
Should I just buy the lubricants and do it myself?
What oils are you guys using?
Thanks, any advice would be appreciated!

Your fine to do it yourself

Use a quality oil

I enjoyed my Sportster for the ease of maintenance

Id change the oil prior to going and take her for a ride before to ensure proper levels etc
