Default XR1200 Rear Caliper?

I know the XR1200 front caliper is a common upgrade for the sporty's. I just ordered mine. I was wondering if anyone has fitted the matching rear caliper? I actually just ordered a 2010 bracket (I have a 2011 Forty Eight) so I could run the 11.5" rotor. Is the rear X1200 an easy fit to the sportster bracket or should I just do SS lines, new pads, and call it a day?

Since the XR uses an aluminum swingarm, I doubt the mounting points
are the same between the two calipers, but I have not verified this.

good luck,

T.

Yeah, I'm not sure I want to drop $100 on ebay to get one and see if it fits lol

In my opinion, the XR rear caliper doesn't give you much of anything over the regular sporty one. I think it would be wasted money and effort.

In a panic stop you can’t use all of the stock rear brake or you’ll just lock the wheel anyway, I think it’s wasted money to do a lot of upgrading on the rear brake.
