The dealership is 117 miles from here. What really frosts me is that I wasAT the dealership today on my way to a rally. Did it break before or while I was at the dealer? NOOOOO...it waits until I'm running an errand this evening.[sm=headbang.gif][sm=headbang.gif][sm=headbang.gif]

I had a nice chrome cover on mine. I want to stick with chrome. I've heard of folksusing cabinet handles and epoxing them on. Anyone else have any cool chrome ideas? It is just not worth the hassle of a warranty claim. It will probably break in another year again anyway.

I think Harley needs a lesson in strength of materials.[>:]

 

Yikes! I've heard the same problem in other threads... makes me want to treat that little plastic **** with kid gloves.

 

I broke the one off on the Custom. Why in the hell would they make something that evertime you ride your going to use out of plastic?

I broke mine in the first month, I use a radio **** instead.

 

Just glad the 07 FI's don't have them, one less thing to replace.

Hey girl, it just might be worth a warranty claim. Believe it or not, you can't just replace the stupid little plastic ****. They have to replace the entire enricher cable. Trust me on this one, it's the only warranty claim I've ever successfully made. I suspect that chrome **** is a contributor. I also had that on mine when it broke. I haven't yet re-installed it, but I think I will.

 

Mine broke as well. The cable broke. It is a $10 part at the dealer. You might want to order one online and change it yourself.

 

I broke mine as well.The threads on the plastic behind the mounting bracket got stripped.It wouldn't stay open on it's own. It was $12.20 from the dealer and .20 hr of labor.They replaced the entire cable not just the ****.
