Default V-Rod shocks.

I'm looking to raise an 05 883L. Does anyone know if the 13"(eye to eye) stock shocks form an 04 VRSCA would work on my Sporty?

Thanks.

Would they fit?Maybe.Should you use them? No.The spring rate and valving have to be way different than what you need for your bike.Quite a few folks have lowered their bikes on here perhaps you can get some stock shocks from a higher riding Sportster from a forum member.Just remember you will need to beef up the front forks as well or it will handle really bad.The lows use different fork springs also so changing one end could be a disaster waiting to happen.

Just check E-bay or our Classified section for some used sets of SPORTSTER shocks. You could find a used set of OEM or some aftermarket Progressives that has the longer eye to eye measurements that you want. I got a spare set of OEM's, but want to keep them in case I get tired of the lowered look/ride.

I am surprised to see "raise the rear height", they may fit but not sure about the load rating.
