Default Fuelpack and 1200conversion

Hi
actually I run 2018 Iron 883.
I installed V&H exhaust, K&N air filter and this summer I want to install FP3 to improve engine work.
I know that FP3 after first use connects to frame number. Does it mean that I can do 1200cc conversion and still be able to flash ECU ?

The Fuelpak “talks to the ECU brain of the bike”; the Fuelpak identity system uses the VIN of the bike allocated by the factory to the ECU; hence, it would not know what upgrades to the mechanicals have occurred or are intended. I cannot see that you would have any issue.

That's just to prevent you from being able to tune multiple bikes, like steveket said it shouldn't cause any issues with the bike after you install a 1200 kit

If the K&N filter is described as free flowing or something like more air than stock filter etc then you should probably get the FP3 sooner rather than later. The mixture will possibly be leaner than it ought to be and might cause some damage to the engine.

I have a Iron 883 and did the 1200 conversion a few months ago. Before the conversion I allready had a FP3, intake and Shirt Shots on the bike. It just needed a flash for the 1200
and that was it, Vance & Hines was very supportive and altered the map for me because the standard download wasn't good for me.

You can see the conversion being done on my webpage.
