LOL too funny....thanks for the laugh.

Be sure not to over-torque and cross-thread your nuts .

Yea we won't go there. The cover would not do anything to end the slop, but would make it sit high enough for me to engage it quicker. With no slop and the pedal about 1/2" higher it would help a lot in engaging the brake, for me. Lets see if I can post these now.

Sorry about all the posts but at my lowest camera setting a 4 sec video is just under the 5mb limit. But now you see the movement I am referring to. You can also see the brake pedal sits below the height of the foot peg, making it slower than I like to engage the brakes.

Yea I remember reading your thread, and part of the limitation, is a built in hard stop for pedal height, that I do not see a reason for, personally.

Are the brake rods made from hardened steel? I would not want that bending, if I made an adjustable one. One other thing I had wondered about, is the position of the mids themselves. Seems if they were slightly farther to the rear, it would automatically point the front of my foot down (I am short legged), making for quicker brake activation. Right now it seems to take a fair amount of pedal to actually feel the brake take hold. Pad thickness looks fine on the rears too.

Are the roadster controls mounted to a different location on the frame, or just offset to the rear a little more?

Ok looked a bit closer at XR's and those are too far rearward and up too high for what I want. So will have to keep the gears turning for now.

Will look for adjustable rods, and a pad to raise the top of the pedal till I get it where I want it.

The brake pedal hooks to the clevis with a press pin on a Softail. Not sure about yours. On mine, it requires you to use a small c-clamp with a nut on the end to squeeze it it. Then it has the washer and Carter pin you bend over.

I have seen them loose since it will go in and washer and Carter pin will work without it pressed in.

I think the video links show how mine is connected.
