Default New look for the sporty

Hey guys. I just registered. I figured I would see what you guys think of my bike. It's my second bike but my first Harley. I always liked the Sportster.

This is what I started out with a little over a month ago. It's n 02 1200. As you can see, kinda didn't fit a 23 year old lol.

A little polishing, alot of stripping, a few new parts, and a little paint....

What do you guys think?

Thank goodness for guys like you that are here to save a lost sportster from the world of bagger wannabe's and turn it back into the slick looking street machine they were bred to be! Nice job and a sweet bike.

Nice job!

At first I really couldn't tell the difference - j/k

Have you had a chance to take it out for a run yet? I'm interested on how those solid struts are working for you.

WOW! Quite a dramatic change, but looks awesome bud! I like the chopped rear fender.

Thanks for the compliments and welcome guys.

Bobber beats bagger every time lol.

I rode a mile or so, but I have no tag so I couldn't go too far. On small bumps it's comparable to a bike with lowering struts. On the bigger ones and potholes you get a pretty good jar. If you lift your butt off the seat a little it's no problem. It handles great this way though. Tons better. I just made them out of aluminum with bronze bushings.
